How to enable Roblox Voice Chat

What “compete” means here

Competing means taking stage turns: hearing a cue, mimicking it on mic, receiving scores, and risking elimination. Lobby emotes and Style browsing do not replace VC. Badges like Mic Ready, Stage Fright, and First Win all assume you can transmit audio.

Server size is 10. Empty mic slots frustrate everyone — fix VC before inviting friends to a full house.

Step 1 — Confirm account eligibility (age verification)

Roblox Voice Chat requires a verified eligible account. Exact UI names change, but the path is stable:

1. Log into Roblox in a browser (settings are clearest there).
2. Open Settings → Account → Voice Chat / Privacy (wording varies).
3. Complete age verification with a supported ID method if prompted.
4. Wait for verification to show as successful before launching the experience again.
5. If you are on a child account under a parent PIN, a guardian may need to allow communication features.

No wiki page can bypass Roblox’s safety rules. If verification fails, use Roblox Support docs for your region rather than third-party “VC unlock” sites (those are scams).

Step 2 — Enable Voice Chat in Roblox settings

1. In account settings, turn Voice Chat / microphone communication On.

Step 4 — In-experience verification inside Mimic the Voice

1. Join Mimic the Voice!.
2. Look for the Voice Chat indicator. Speak; levels should react.
3. Confirm you are not stuck in a spectator-only state when rounds begin.
4. If the game surfaces a “enable voice” or “can’t compete” notice, treat it as authoritative — leave, fix settings, rejoin.
5. Earn Mic Ready once transmission is real (mic setup).
